WHEREAS, the Forty-Second Legislature of the State of Washington in its first extraordinary session has passed Substitute House Bill 553 providing for comprehensive health planning and certificates of need for hospital and nursing home construction; and
WHEREAS, this legislation provides that the Governor designate a single state agency to develop and administer the state comprehensive health planning program.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby designate the Planning and Community Affairs Agency with the duties, authority, and responsibilities as provided in Chapter 198, Session Laws, Forty-Second Legislature, First Extraordinary Session.
