Academic Achievement and Accountability Commission
Provide oversight of the state’s educational accountability system.

Accountancy, Board of
Regulates public accounting through examinations, licensing, complaint investigation and continuing professional education.

Adult Education, Advisory Council on
Advises the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges and the Work Force Training and Education Coordinating Board concerning adult basic education and literacy programs.

Affirmative Action Policy Committee, Governor’s
Serves as a policy and review body for the state’s affirmative action program; reviews and approves state agency affirmative action plans.

Affordable Housing Advisory Board
Serves as principal advisory body to the Department of Community Trade and Economic Development on housing and housing-related issues.

African-American Affairs, Commission on
Examines and defines issues pertaining to the rights and needs of African-Americans, and makes recommendations to the Governor, the legislature, and state agencies for changes in programs and laws.

Aging, State Council on
Advises Governor and Department of Social & Health Services on policies, programs and services affecting older people.

Agriculture and the Environment, Governor’s Council on
Provides a forum for communication and dispute resolution between agricultural, environmental, governmental, and any other interests on issues of mutual concern. Advises the Governor, state agencies and the legislature with respect to the business climate for agriculture in the state. Staffing agency: Department of Agriculture.

Air Transportation Commission
Conduct studies to determine long-range air transportation policy, including assessment of intermodal needs, and assessment of the effects of increasing air traffic on surrounding communities.

Alternative Public Works Methods Oversight Committee
Reviews the utilization of the alternative public works contracting procedures authorized by the legislature and evaluates potential future utilization of other alternative contracting procedures, including, but not limited to, contractor prequalification. Committee terminates on July 1, 2001.

Apprenticeship Council
Approves apprenticeship programs, and establishes apprenticeship program standards as rules, including requirements for apprentice-related and supplemental instruction, coordination of instruction with job experiences, and instructor qualifications.

Architects, Board of Registration for
Examines and licenses architects within the state; investigates violation of state regulations relating to the practice of architecture; and recommends rules and regulations for administering the licensing laws.

Arts Commission
Promotes the growth and development of the arts within the state; advises state agencies and officials on matters pertaining to the arts; and administers appropriations set aside for acquiring works of art for public buildings.

Asian Pacific American Affairs, State Commission
Examines and defines issues pertaining to the rights and needs of Asian Americans and advises the Governor and state agencies on policies, plans and needs.

Biodiversity Council
The Biodiversity Council recommends ways to manage and protect our state's biodiversity.

Blind, Rehabilitation Council for the
Advises the director of the Department of Services for the Blind.

Blind, State School for the; Board of Trustees
Serves educational needs of visually impaired and blind students from throughout the state. Develops comprehensive curriculum to maximize and develop students’ skills to live, work and be capable, contributing, independent citizens.

Boiler Rules, Board of
Formulates rules and regulations for the safe and proper construction, installation, use, operation and repair of boilers and pressure vessels.

Boundary Review Boards
Boundary review boards are mandated by state legislation in King, Pierce, Snohomish and Spokane counties; they are optional in all other counties. Fifteen other counties have opted to create boards, including Benton, Chelan, Clark, Cowlitz, Douglas, Grant, Kitsap, Kittitas, Pacific, Skagit, Skamania, Thurston, Walla Walla, Whatcom and Yakima counties. Boundary review boards have jurisdiction over municipal annexations, incorporations, disincorporations, and creation or annexation of certain special districts. The boards also have jurisdiction over extensions of sewer and water services outside the city or district.

Building Code Council
Studies, recommends revision and provides technical and general assistance to building officials about adopted codes relating to uniform building, energy and barrier-free designs; adopts and amends building codes.

Business registration and licensing board of review
Provides policy direction to the Department of Licensing as it establishes and operates the business registration and licensing system. The Governor appoints one member with 19 others appointed by another authority.

Capitol Campus Design Advisory Committee
Advises the State Capitol Committee and the director of General Administration to review programs, planning, design, and landscaping of state capitol facilities and grounds and to make recommendations that will contribute to the attainment of architectural, aesthetic, functional, and environmental excellence in design and maintenance of capitol facilities on campus and located in neighboring communities.

Capitol Furnishings Preservation Committee
Promotes and encourages the recovery and preservation of the original and historic furnishings of the state capitol group, prevents future loss of historic furnishings, and reviews and advises future remodeling and restoration projects as they pertain to historic furnishings.

Caseload Forecast Council
Performs forecasts of state entitlement programs; correctional institutions; institutions for juvenile offenders; K-12; long-term care; medical assistance; and foster care and adoption support.

Cemetery Board
Grants certificates of authority to operate cemeteries owned by corporations other than religious groups or taxing district authorities; grants pre-arrangement sales licenses and crematory licenses; reviews audit results of endowment-care and pre-arrangement trust funds; holds disciplinary hearings on title violations; and adopts and amends rules. Also consults with the Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers on rules for cremation and crematories.

Chiropractic Quality Assurance Commission, Washington State
Regulates the competency and quality of chiropractic health care professionals by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing qualifications for licensing, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms, and discipline.

Civil Justice Equal Funding Task Force
The purpose of this act is to reallocate the general fund portion of the state’s motor vehicle excise tax revenues among the taxpayers, local governments, and the state’s transportation programs. These reallocated funds must be used to provide relief from traffic congestion, improve freight mobility, and increase traffic safety.

Clemency and Pardons Board
Receives petitions from individuals, organizations, and the Department of Corrections for review and commutation of sentences and pardoning of offenders and, in some instances, for the restoration of civil rights; makes recommendations to the Governor.

Collection Agency Board
Regulates collection agencies within the state; holds disciplinary hearings; recommends and adopts rules and regulations for administering the regulatory law.

Columbia River Gorge Commission
Works with the U.S. Forest Service to plan for and oversee the 253,000-acre Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area created in 1986.

Columbia River Interstate Compact Commission
Represents the state on the joint commission, composed of commissioners representing the states of Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming and Washington. The commission has been organized for the purpose of considering, negotiating and entering into an agreement or compact between not less than five of the states regarding the use of the waters of the Columbia River. Its functions are not only advisory, but also administrative and include promoting interstate cooperation.

Combined Fund Drive Committee, State Employee
The Combined Fund Drive is a mechanism where state employees can donate money to be distributed to a variety of charitable organizations.

Community and Technical Colleges, State Board for
The governing board for the state’s community and technical college system. Prepares and submits to Governor the budget for community and technical colleges system; disburses funds to the 30 colleges; establishes standards for staffing, financial procedures, curriculum, degree and admission policies.

Community Economic Revitalization Board
Objectives are to strengthen the economies of areas of the state that have experienced high unemployment rates or below-average economic growth; to encourage the diversification of economies throughout the state; and to provide incentives for expansion of employment opportunities.

Community Outdoor Athletic Fields Advisory Council
The advisory council shall provide information and make recommendations to the interagency committee for outdoor recreation on the award of funds from the youth athletic facility grant account to cities, counties, and qualified non-profit organizations for acquiring, developing, equipping, maintaining and improving youth or community athletic facilities, including outdoor athletic fields.

Commute Trip Reduction Task Force
Establishes guidelines for commute trip reduction plans.

Conservation Commission
Develops and implements a long-range program for conserving and improving the state’s renewable natural resources.

Convention and Trade Center, Board of Directors
A public non-profit corporation formed for the purpose of constructing and operating a state convention and trade center in Seattle.

Coordinated Transportation, Agency Council on
Develop standards and strategies for coordinating special needs transportation. Set to terminate on June 30, 2003.

Correctional Industries Board of Directors
Advises the Department of Corrections on programs designed to offer work experience and training of inmates, along with the investing of funds from enterprises and work programs.

Cosmetology, Barbering and Manicuring Advisory Board
Advises the Department of Licensing on all matters relating to the trades of cosmetology, barbering and manicuring.

Criminal Justice Services, Advisory Council on
Reviews supporting law-enforcement services not related to traffic control.

Criminal Justice Training Commission
Develops and implements training standards and programs designed to upgrade criminal justice personnel; establishes standards relating to physical, mental and moral fitness for recruiting criminal justice personnel.

Deaf, State School for the; Board of Trustees
Serves educational needs of hearing-impaired students from throughout the state. Develops comprehensive curriculum to maximize and develop students’ skills to live, work and be capable, contributing, independent citizens.

Deferred Compensation, Committee for
Establishes and maintains a supplemental retirement benefit program for all employees, officers and elected officials of the state of Washington and approved political subdivisions.

Dental Quality Assurance Commission, Washington State
Regulates the competency and quality of dental professionals by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing qualifications for licensure, consistent standards of practice, continuing competency mechanisms, and discipline.

Developmental Disabilities Council
Advises the Governor on issues and trends in providing services to developmentally disabled individuals; acts as their advocate and as a planning entity.

Developmental Disabilities Endowment Governing Board
The Governing Board is responsible for designing and administering the developmental disabilities endowment.

Disability Issues and Employment, Governor’s Committee on
Advises Governor and legislature on disability issues; generates local action; initiates projects to address specific issues; provides training and assistance to individuals and organizations statewide; conducts workshops and conferences; and publishes disability-related materials.

Dispensing Opticians Examining Committee
Examines candidates for licensure or registration. Staffing Agency: Department of Health.

Economic Advisors, Governor’s Council of
Advises the Governor on state financial matters, including the state budget, tax policy, the issuance of debt and debt management, cash management, and other fiscal matters that reflect upon the overall financial condition of the state.

Economic and Revenue Forecast Council
Prepares and oversees the making of state revenue estimates and economic forecasts.

Economic Development Commission
The Competitiveness Council formed a Task Force on Economic Development which recommended the formation of an Economic Development Commission to provide strategic and policy direction to the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development. The Commission will consist of private sector and labor representatives from around the state, and is intended to engage the state’s business and labor community developing the state’s trade and economic development policies.

Economic Development Finance Authority
Helps small and medium sized businesses meet their capital needs.

Education Commission of the States
Represents the state under the National Compact for Education, which provides a national forum for the discussion of education policy. The Commission’s functions include research and promoting interstate cooperation.

Efficiency and Accountability in Government, Commission for
Conducts study of efficiency in state government to improve management and reduce costs; reports findings to the Governor and the legislature.

Electrical Board
Establishes general and specialty electrical contractors’ licenses; prepares/administers written examinations; and advises the Dept. of Labor & Industries director on the need for additional electrical inspectors and changes in electrical codes.

Elementary and Secondary Education, Advisory Committee on
Advises the Governor and the Superintendent of Public Instruction on issues and policies relating to consolidating education programs within the state’s education system.

Elevated Transportation Company Board
To cause a transportation system to be built that will be principally an elevated mass transportation system. Once built, the Council will oversee and operate the system and all other facilities directly related to it.

Emergency Management Council
Advises the Governor and the assistant director of Emergency Management on all matters relating to emergency services in the state; acts as an arbitration body to settle search and rescue claims between state and local government.

Emergency Medical Services/Trauma Care Steering Committee
Reviews the requirements for pre-hospital emergency and ambulance services throughout the state and the proposed administrative rules relating to emergency medical services; reviews regional emergency management plans and recommends changes; and advises on rules regarding poison information centers.

Employee Retirement Benefits Board
The Board shall preselect options for members to choose from for self-directed investment; select optional benefit payment schedules available to members and survivors; select investment options for the deferred compensation program.

Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council
Licensing agency for major non-hydroelectric energy facilities. Evaluates applications and recommends approval or disapproval to Governor; develops terms and conditions for constructing and operating sites; and monitors sites for compliance.

Engineers and Land Surveyors, Board of Registration for Professional
Examines candidates for license or registration; investigates and holds hearings on violations of the regulatory law; recommends and adopts rules and regulations for administering the law.

Escrow Commission
Advises Licensing director on the design and conduct of tests, license fee schedules, educational programs, audits and investigations of the escrow profession.

Executive Ethics Board
Enforces state ethics legislation with respect to statewide elected officials and all other officers and employees in the executive branch, boards and commissions, and institutions of higher education.

Family Practice Education Advisory Board
Advises the University of Washington School of Medicine on implementing educational programs in family medicine throughout the state.

Fire Protection Policy Board
Sets policy on fire-protection matters; advises and assists the Chief of the State Patrol and the director of Fire Protection on all fire-protection matters and in developing a budget.

Fish and Wildlife Commission
Establishes policies and regulations designed to preserve, protect and perpetuate the fish and wildlife of the state, as well as fish and game habitat.

Fisheries Advisory Committee, Distant Waters
Advises the Governor on industry’s views about conserving/allocating marine fisheries resources. Staffing Agency: Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Fisheries Commission, Pacific Marine
Advises the Department of Fisheries and the Governor on developments within the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council and state or national legislation which affects Washington-based high seas fishing fleets.

Fisheries Management Council, North Pacific
Established by the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act. Prepares fishery management plans for marine fish stocks in the North Pacific. Plans are submitted for review by the National Marine Fisheries Services and approved by the Secretary of Commerce. Includes representatives from Washington and Alaska.

Fisheries Management Council, Pacific
Established by the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act. Prepares fishery management plans for marine fish stocks in the Pacific Ocean. Plans are submitted for review by the National Marine Fisheries Services and approved by the Secretary of Commerce. Includes representatives of Washington, Oregon, California, and Idaho.

Forensic Investigations Council
Oversees the state toxicology laboratory at the University of Washington; studies and recommends improvements in the death investigation system; and reports the findings to the legislature.

Forest Practices Appeals Board
An independent, quasi-judicial agency which hears and decides appeals from decisions of the Department of Natural Resources.

Forest Practices Board
Establishes minimum standards for forest practices and provides procedures for the voluntary development of resource management plans.

Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board
Designates strategic freight corridors within the state, reviews and evaluates freight mobility funding applications and makes recommendations to the Governor and legislature on projects that will enhance freight mobility.

Funeral Directors and Embalmers, Board of
Examines and licenses members of the profession; recommends rules and regulations for administering and enforcing the regulatory law.

Gambling Commission
Licenses, inspects, investigates and audits organizations, businesses and individuals participating in authorized gambling activities.

Growth Management Hearings Board, Central Puget Sound
Rules on disputes that arise from county and city growth-planning policies adopted by the counties of King, Pierce, Kitsap, and Snohomish, and cities therein.

Growth Management Hearings Board, Eastern Washington
Rules on disputes that arise from county and city growth-planning policies in all counties east of the Cascade crest and all cities therein.

Growth Management Hearings Board, Western Washington
Rules on disputes that arise from county and city growth-planning policies in all counties west of the Cascades (except for King, Pierce, Kitsap, and Snohomish) and all cities therein.

Guaranteed Education Tuition Program Governing Board
Administers the advanced college tuition payment program.

Hanford Area Economic Investment Fund Committee
Accepts from federal and state agencies loans or grants for the purpose of funding Hanford area revolving loan funds, infrastructure projects, or economic development projects, and recommends a spending strategy for those funds. Advises the State Treasurer on the use of the Hanford-area economic investment fund.

Health and Welfare Advisory Board
Helps state risk manager adopt rules governing operation and management of health and welfare benefits programs. Reviews annual reports filed by health and welfare benefits programs.

Health Care Facilities Authority
Authorizes the sale of tax-exempt, non-recourse revenue bonds and loans proceeds to health-care facilities. Bonds are sold in the name of the authority and are payable from an individual hospital’s revenue. Bonds sold by the Authority are not obligations of the state of Washington.

Health Care Policy Board
Makes recommendations to the legislature and the Governor on issues related to the scope, financing, and delivery of health care benefit plans including access for both the insured and uninsured population; long-term care services; rural health care needs; and other issues related to health care reform and health care delivery in the state of Washington.

Health Insurance Pool, Washington State
Provides access to health insurance for people who are unable to obtain coverage in the private marketplace. The board of directors develops and approves a uniform screening mechanism for subscribers to enter the pool. The board also manages the pool, sets assessments on member health plans, and collects premiums from subscribers.

Health Services Commission, Washington
Ensure that all residents of Washington State are enrolled in a certified health plan to receive the uniform benefits package regardless of age, sex, family structure, ethnicity, race, health condition, geographic location, employment, or economic status.

Health, State Board of
The primary entity for state health policy development; required to produce a biennial report delineating the state’s health priorities.

Hearing and Speech, Board of
Examines and licenses hearing instrument dispensers; recommends standards for equipment and procedures, along with rules and regulations for administering regulatory act; adopt rules relating to standards of care relating to hearing instrument fitter/dispensers or audiologists, and relating to speech-language pathologists.

Higher Education Coordinating Board
Studies, plans and coordinates higher education among various institutions and agencies within the state.

Higher Education Facilities Authority
Authorizes the issuance of tax-exempt bonds and loans proceeds to private, nonprofit institutions of higher education. Bonds sold by the Authority are not obligations of the state of Washington.

Hispanic Affairs Commission
Ensures that state programs are providing the assistance needed by the Hispanic community; advises state agencies on developing and implementing policies, plans and programs focusing on the needs of the Hispanic community.

Historic Preservation, Advisory Council on
Reviews nominations for the state and national register of historic places and advises the governor and department on matters relating to historic preservation.

HIV/AIDS, Governor’s Advisory Council on
Advises the Governor on HIV/AIDS related programs and policy.

Home Care Quality Authority
The home care quality authority is established to regulate and improve the quality of long-term in-home care services by recruiting, training, and stabilizing the work force of individual providers.

Homelessness, State Advisory Council on
Makes annual policy recommendations to the Governor and the Affordable Housing Board on ways to enhance the state’s ability to respond to the needs of people who are homeless, who are at risk of being homeless, or who have been homeless.

Horse Park Authority, Washington State
Formed as a non-profit corporation, the board is responsible for developing, promoting, operating, managing, and maintaining the state horse park.

Horse Racing Commission
Regulates and supervises all race meets held in the state that have pari-mutuel wagering.

Hospital Advisory Board, Eastern State
Monitors the operation and activities of the hospital; reviews and advises on the hospital budget; makes recommendations to the Governor and the legislature for improving the quality of service provided by the hospital; and consults with the secretary of DSHS regarding the selection of superintendent.

Hospital Advisory Board, Western State
Monitors the operation and activities of the hospital; reviews and advises on the hospital budget; makes recommendations to the Governor and the legislature for improving the quality of service provided by the hospital; and consults with the secretary of DSHS regarding the selection of superintendent.

Housing Finance Commission
Issues revenue bonds and participates in federal, state and local housing programs to make additional funds available to help provide low to moderate income housing throughout the state without the use of public funds or lending the state’s credit.

Human Rights Commission
Works to eliminate and prevent discrimination in employment and business practices based on race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age or mental or physical handicap.

Humanities Washington
A non-profit organization supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities and local contributors. The commission makes grants to support programs that foster public understanding and appreciation of history, literature, ethics, and other humanities fields. In addition to its grant-making activities, the Humanities Washington offers pre-packaged humanities programs such as exhibits, films, and speakers to local groups.

Independent Living Advisory Council, Washington State
Develops and submits the state plan for Independent Living in conjunction with the general vocational rehabilitation program, and monitors, reviews, and evaluates the implementation of the state plan for Independent Living.

Independent Science Panel
The Panel helps ensure that sound science is used in salmon recovery efforts by reviewing salmon recovery plans.

Indeterminate Sentence Review Board
Determines duration of confinement and parole release of all state prisoners sentenced prior to the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984.

Industrial Insurance Appeals, Board of
Hears and makes final decisions on industrial insurance appeals.

Industrial Safety and Health Board, Governor’s
A non-profit organization whose purpose is to prevent industrial injuries and occupational diseases among employees in the state; promote the efficient, safe, healthful and productive operation of industry within the state. Functions in advisory capacity to the Governor.

Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities and Their Families, State Interagency Coordinating Council for
Advises and assists the Department of Social and Health Services and participating state agencies to coordinate, develop and implement policies dealing with early-intervention services.

Information Services Board
Develops standards, policies and procedures for managing state information services.

Intergovernmental Relations, Advisory Commission on
Considers matters of mutual interest to state and local governments; proposes potential solutions to common problems in order to improve relations among governments in the state.

International Trade, Council on
Advise the executive legislative committee on economic development regarding policies, programs, and activities to enhance the exporting of Washington State goods and services to international markets.

Investment Board
Invests and reinvests the monies of the state’s trust and retirement funds.

Jail Industries Board
Offers advice to cities and counties in developing, promoting, and implementing consistent, safe, and efficient offender work programs.

Job Training Coordinating Council
Oversees and manages an occupational supply-and-demand information system for the state’s labor market. Advises the Governor on employment and training policy related to the implementation of the Federal Job-Training Partnership Act of 1982.

Judicial Conduct, Commission on
Reviews complaints alleging possible violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct. Also enforces the state ethics legislation for all members and employees of the state judicial system.

Juvenile Disposition Standards Commission
Proposes to the legislature standards pertaining to terms of confinement for juvenile offenses; imposes and collects diversion agreement fines. Commission ends on July 1, 1997. Staffing Agency: DSHS.

Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee
Implements the federal juvenile justice and delinquency prevention act which provides funds to states to improve the juvenile justice system, advises the Governor on priorities for granting federal juvenile delinquency funds and improving the juvenile system.

K-20 Educational Network Board
Ensures that the K-20 educational telecommunications network is operated in a way that serves the broad public interest above the interest of any network user.

K-20 Network Technical Steering Committee
The Committee, which reports to the Information Services Board, will have general operational and technical oversight over the K-20 network, as delegated by the Information Services Board.

Land Use Study Commission
The Commission’s goal shall be the integration and consolidation of the state’s land use and environmental laws into a single, manageable statute. In fulfilling that responsibility, the Commission shall evaluate the effectiveness of the growth management act, the state environmental policy act, the shoreline management act, and other state land use, planning, environmental, and permitting statutes. The Commission sunsets on June 30, 1998.

Landscape Architects, Board of Registration
Examines candidates for licensure or registration; holds disciplinary hearings; recommends adoption of rules and regulations for administering the regulatory laws.

Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Plan 2 Pension Board
The LEOFF 2 Board provides for an actuarial reserve system for the payment of death, disability, and retirement benefits to law enforcement officers and fire fighters, and to beneficiaries of such employees, thereby enabling such employees to provide for themselves and their dependents in case of disability or death.

Law Revision Commission
Provides facilities and procedures to undertake investigation of laws; recommends to the legislature elimination of laws; encourages clarification and simplification of state laws.

Legal Foundation of Washington
Acts as trustee for funds received from interest on lawyers’ trust accounts, as directed by the Supreme Court. These funds are used for law-related charitable and educational purposes.

Legislative Building Preservation and Renovation, Commission on
The Commission is to identify a plan and resources for the renovation and preservation of the state legislative building.

Legislative Ethics Board
Enforces state ethics legislation with respect to members of the legislature and legislative employees.

Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Advisory Committee
The Committee shall coordinate and provide guidance to Washington’s observance of the bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition.

Lewis and Clark Trail Committee
Advises and stimulates activities of federal, state and local agencies, and individuals, to promote public awareness of the route traveled by Lewis and Clark on their 1804-1806 expedition.

Library Commission
Has charge and control of the State Library; makes rules and regulations governing the administration of the State Library and the distribution of grant funds of the State Library.

License Plate Review Board
The License Plate Review Board is created to allow for the evaluation of special license plate requests and establish a funding policy.

Liquor Control Board
Controls and distributes alcoholic beverages in the state; functions as both a regulatory board and a business enterprise.

Live Horse Racing Compact Committee
The Compact Committee is an interstate governmental entity comprised of one official from the racing commission or its equivalent in each state that has enacted the live horse racing compact.

Lottery Commission
Adopts rules to establish and operate a state lottery; sets prices of tickets, prizes, frequency of contests, manner and time of payments to winners; and licenses lottery ticket agents and sets their compensation.

Marine Employees’ Commission
Adjusts all complaints, grievances and disputes between labor and management arising out of the operation of the ferry system; provides for impasse mediation; conducts fact-finding and provides salary surveys; and provides for the selection of impartial arbitrators.

Marine Oversight Board
Provides independent oversight of the federal government, industry, and state agencies with respect to oil-spill prevention and response.

Massage Examining Board

Pesticide Registration, Commission on
Provides guidance to Washington State University’s Food Safety and Environmental Quality Lab in the area of pesticide registrations for minor crops and minor uses and in regard to the availability of pesticides for emergency use. Pipeline Safety Committee

Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, Washington Council for the
Mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect. The PESB will develop a basic skills test for persons entering teacher preparation programs and out of state teachers seeking initial or residency certification. Property and Liability Advisory Board
Assists the state risk manager in adopting rules governing the operation and management of both individual and joint self-insurance programs covering liability and property risks; and in reviewing and approving the creation of joint self-insurance programs covering property or liability risks.

Salmon Recovery Funding Board
The Board is responsible for making grants and loans for salmon habitat projects and salmon recovery activities from the amounts appropriated to the board. Provides assistance to grant applicants; makes and executes all manner of contracts and agreements; accept any gifts, grants or loans of funds, property, or financial or other aid in any form from any other source on any terms that are not in conflict with this chapter; adopt rules under chapter 34.05 RCW as necessary.
