Island County Death Returns (1891-1907) provide name of deceased, date of death, location and cause of death, place of birth, age at last birthday, sex and race, marital status, residence and occupation, parents' names and birth places, date of return and doctor's signature. The records were recorded with the County Auditor and are served by the Register of Deaths. Records of births and deaths after 1907 are held by the Washington State Department of Health, Center for Health Statistics.
