| Introduction |
These records include the minutes from South Prairie’s Town Council meetings from March 3, 1909 through September 4, 2007, with the exception of the dates between December 18, 1928 and September 7, 1965; these council minutes were not available at the time of filming. There is also a gap in the minutes for December, 1968. Between March 1909 and March 1969, minutes were hand-written by the town clerk/treasurer. Some entries may be difficult to read, appearing faded in the digital image.
Minutes are the official record of the proceedings of the town council. Minutes may include date, council members present, summary of official reports from various departments, budget approvals, and other town business. The records in this collection are indexed by date. The Town of South Prairie is located in Pierce County. It incorporated February 1909. All records are in English. These records are open for research.
