Introduction	These records include Ordinances 1 to 1299 enacted by the North Bend City Council for meetings from March 12, 1909, through December 4, 2007. There are several gaps in the files. Numbers 44, 58-63, 68-99, 105-109, 117, 119, 120, 124-152, 161-166, 241-249, 316-319, 330, 422, 472, 486, 487,520, 537, 545, 557, 796, 978 are missing. According to the ordinance index, numbers 241-249 may not have been used. Some of the ordinances listed as missing in the index can be found briefly described within the minutes. There are unnumbered ordinances described within the minutes which may correspond to those listed as missing. Minutes for council meetings from March 1909 through November 1951 were handwritten by the clerk. Ordinances found within the minutes between 1909 and 1951 may be difficult to read, as some of the records appear faded. There are typographical errors within ordinance 366, 641, 1009, 1041, 1138, and 1179, misdating the year that the ordinance was adopted. Ordinances passed by the city council are the laws which govern the city and are normally codified into a Municipal Code. Record includes ordinance number, type or legal details and date. The ordinances in this collection are indexed by date and by ordinance number. Ordinances in this collection may have been repealed, superseded, amended or otherwise had their legal effects alter by subsequent actions of the city council. Those seeking the current Municipal Code should consult the city's main office. The City of North Bend is located in King County. It incorporated March 2, 1909 All records are in English.
