| Introduction |
These records include Ordinances 1 through 2006-28 enacted by the Bainbridge Island City Council at meetings from September 25, 1947, through December 13, 2006.
Ordinances passed by the city council are the laws which govern the city and are normally codified into a Municipal Code. Records include ordinance number, type or legal details and date. The ordinances in this collection are indexed by date and by ordinance number. Ordinances in this collection may have been repealed, superseded, amended or otherwise had their legal effects altered by subsequent actions of the city council. Those seeking the current Municipal Code should refer to the City's main office. The City of Bainbridge Island is located in Kitsap County. Originally incorporated in 1947 as the Town of Winslow, it became the City of Winslow in 1969. In 1990, Winslow annexed all of Bainbridge Island and the following year changed its name to the City of Bainbridge Island. All records are in English. These records are open for research. Filmed and indexed by Washington State Archives, Imaging and Preservation Services. |
