Introduction	These records include the Minutes of the Bainbridge Island City Council meetings from September 18, 1947, through December 27, 2006. Minutes are the official record of the proceedings of the City Council. Minutes may include date, council members present, summary of official reports from various departments, budget approvals and other city business. The records in this collection are indexed by date. The City of Bainbridge Island is located in Kitsap County. Originally incorporated in 1947 as the Town of Winslow, it became the City of Winslow in 1969. In 1990, Winslow annexed all of Bainbridge Island and the following year changed its name to the City of Bainbridge Island. All records are in English. These records are open for research.
