Agency History: | Clyde Hill is located in King County approximately 2 miles east of Seattle, sharing its southeast border with the city of Bellevue. Clyde Hill adheres to a Mayor-Council form of government and was officially incorporated in 1953. The Utilities Commission was established in the 1980’s when cities could regulate cable rates. After that power was removed from cities by the FCC the Utilities Commission’s role expanded to provide oversight to other utility companies serving the city. The commission did not meet on a regular basis, but as needed. In December 2013 the Clyde Hill City Council eliminated the Utilities Commission by passing ordinance #926 repealing Chapter 2.22 of the Clyde Hill Municipal Code. |
